Art has been a part of my life for over 40 years, beginning with teaching oil painting and perspective drawing, to moving over to painting murals and wall finishes to hanging up my ladders and moving on once again into new mediums, clay, encaustic and mixed media. I love all art forms, whether realism or abstract, but have always found that I tend toward impressionism or abstract as my form of expression. Even when doing pottery I prefer hand building to doing the wheel. During my years of working in houses doing murals and wall finishes, I started making hand painted papers, which I use in my art, whether embedded under encaustic art or added to my mixed media.
